At present, the main type of cross-linked cable terminals used for voltage levels of 110-345kV abroad is prefabricated rubber stress cone terminals (referred to as prefabricated terminals), while higher voltage level cross-linked cable terminals use silicone oil impregnated thin film capacitor cone terminals (referred to as capacitor cone terminals). Outdoor terminal: a terminal used when exposed to direct sunlight, climatic conditions, or both.

GIS terminal: a cable terminal installed inside a gas insulated enclosed switchgear with SF6 gas as the external insulation.

Oil immersed terminal: a cable terminal installed in the liquid insulated part of the oil immersed transformer tank with insulating oil as the outer insulation.

Direct connector: an accessory that connects two cables to form a continuous circuit, used in situations where the cable line joint is directly grounded.

Insulation joint: a joint that separates the metal sheath, grounding metal shield, and insulation shield of a cable from the electrical connection. It is used for cross interconnection of metal sheaths in cable lines to reduce sheath loss.

Integrated prefabricated rubber insulation: It integrates stress cones, umbrella skirts, and insulation layers into a single prefabricated component.
